Ghostbusters Frozen Empire American Movie Plot Summary:
Three years after the events in Summerville, Oklahoma, Callie Spengler, her boyfriend Gary Grooberson, her children Trevor and Phoebe, and their friends Lucky Domingo and Podcast, relocate to New York City to assist Winston Zeddemore and Ray Stantz in re-establishing the Ghostbusters. The group captures a ghost from Hell’s Kitchen, but their long-time opponent, Walter Peck, now the Mayor, threatens to shut them down. To appease Peck, Callie removes Phoebe from the team, leading Phoebe to befriend Melody, a ghost who died in a fire.
Ray and Podcast acquire a cursed brass orb from Nadeem Razmaadi, which releases a cold wave damaging their headquarters’ ecto-containment unit. Winston takes the orb to Dr. Lars Pinfield’s research center, where they fail to extract spiritual energy from it. The orb’s captive sabotages the center, releasing a ghost that hides in Podcast’s equipment. Nadeem reveals the orb’s history as a trap for the phantom god Garraka, who seeks to build an undead army using the “power to kill by fear itself.”
As Garraka escapes and starts freezing the city, the Ghostbusters, aided by Nadeem, confront him. Phoebe uses a brass-plated proton pack to weaken Garraka, and Melody helps Nadeem defeat him. The Ghostbusters capture Garraka, and Melody ascends to the afterlife. The team is reinstated and hailed as heroes as they continue to capture escaped ghosts across New York City.
In a mid-credits scene, the Mini-Pufts steal a truck from a vending machine, adding a humorous touch to the film’s conclusion.
